At Tru-Form Plastics, most of our heavy gauge parts are finished by cutting a part out of a web with one of our seven CNC router stations. Five-axis CNC trimming produces parts with repeatable, close tolerances.

CNC Thermoform Trimming That’s Easy to Tweak

The Tru-Form Plastics process involves using a vacuum system to hold the formed pre-finished part against a custom detailed trimming fixture. Then, we program a CNC path to cut the finished part geometry with the five-axis router.

Trimming revisions are easy to accommodate with a CNC program change. Multi-part configurations can also be generated from a single formed part by programming different trim patterns.
